What “Total Development” Means to Me

I’ve been exploring the concept of “total development” lately.  As you may know I’m a certified life coach. The concept intrigued me because in a business project, total development pertains to the sum cost of the project.  So as pertaining to people, the question could be, What is the Total Development of a person?  What does it take to reach the goals you are pursuing?

As you might imagine, there could be many components to the real answer,  But in this post, I’m  going to talk about only two –which actually consists of several smaller parts.  Personal Growth and Professional Growth.  These are two of the main areas I focus on in my coaching.

Consider this.  When a person undergoes personal growth, he builds and strengthens the core of his existence — the body and mind and begins the process of cultivating self-esteem.  As they undergo professional growth, they discover, and nurture purpose and continue with the cultivation of their self-esteem.  A major goal, if not the ultimate goal is finding balance.

To me, the Total Development concept is a way of addressing both, in a balanced way.  Developing both personally and professionally, attempting to have one always supporting the other.  As a life coach, helping people find that balance is what I do.

Being that no two people are exactly the same, a personal approach is needed for each client.  I understand this, and implement that into my consulting, coaching, and training.  With the total development concept we help clients realize what’s going on in their life, take accountability, and work towards the balance they seek.

Perhaps, the idea of a new beginning excites you. To focus and manifest the changes we want to occur in our lives which we defer, hold off, prolong until we just decide, this year. Creating goals and space, to change the course of your life is what we contemplate. Let’s be real Continue reading “Happy New Year, 2023”
